After many users raised concerns over WhatsApp’s new terms and privacy policy, the company has decided to delay the update to address their users’ concerns. From the time when WhatsApp’s in-app alert stating their new privacy terms popped up, concerns were raised over WhatsApp’s decision to “partner with Facebook to offer integrations across the Facebook Company products”. This led to many people thinking that Facebook would now have access to their private WhatsApp conversations and chats, which isn’t really the case. The new update applies only when users are messaging with businesses on WhatsApp, not personal conversations. To clarify the new data-sharing update, Facebook has announced a three-month delay in enforcing WhatsApp’s terms and privacy policy.
